INSTALLATION
Precast Tanks designed for industrial, commercial, and agricultural storage applications.
Excavation
Excavation has to be done based on the size of the tank, keeping an allowance of at least one foot all around for easy erection.
Base Preparation
Provide approximately 100 mm thick layer of washed sand or crusher dust at the base of the excavated pit. Ensure that it is leveled properly before lowering the tank.
Tank Unloading
Unload the tank from the truck using appropriate machinery and place it directly into the pit slowly to prevent damage.
Surface Water Protection
This assists in preventing surface water from working its way around the tank and prevents tank uplift.
Concrete Base (If Required)
Our concrete tanks generally do not need a concrete base. However, if required, they can be placed on a slab or Plain Cement Concrete surface.
Access Provision
Ensure there is adequate access for heavy equipment required for installation. An access width of more than 3 meters is recommended, but verify with the excavation and installation agency.
Custom Features
Includes custom features such as access hatches, fittings, coatings, and other components based on project requirements.
Excavation Reconfirmation
Ensure excavation is as per tank size with one foot of extra allowance for easy erection and positioning.
Re-Leveling Base
Provide a 100 mm thick layer of washed sand or crusher dust at the base, ensuring it is perfectly level before lowering the tank.
Lowering the Tank
Unload the tank carefully from the truck using proper lifting machineries and place it slowly into the pit.
Pit Water Protection
The pit must be protected from surface water inflow. It should be dewatered fully and kept dry during installation to avoid tank uplift.
Soil Considerations
Our tanks generally do not require a concrete base. However, for poor soils like clay, a Plain Cement Concrete base (100 mm thick) should be laid over a 100 mm sand layer.
Heavy Equipment Access
Ensure adequate access (>3 meters) for heavy machinery needed for excavation and installation. Confirm with your installation contractor for safe operation.
